Piecework, also called task-based pay or output-based pay, is a way of paying Operators for what they accomplish based on the measurable outcome of their work. For example, if an Operator's task is to glue birdhouses together, a business would pay a certain amount of money for each birdhouse that you glue together. An Operator's pay is based on actual productivity rather than a set amount for the day.
